Below are instructions on running both obsidian and sharp on linux obsidian specific steps are with red text on an off white background, shared instructions are with the current presentation The wine settings I used to get SV working on linux conflict with yabridge. If you require yabridge I would either not follow my instructions or download SV on a different boot or computer to yabridge. There's an issue I've experienced running these wine settings on hyprland where the titlebar for SV escapes behind my topbar. I would reccomend using a fully fledged DE over a window tiling manager for SV though both are possible and I switch between both in the tutorial.

• Download `wine-staging` & `winetricks` from your package manager. (I'm using wine-staging 9.21 during this tutorial. you may want to downgrade if you have issues)
• Download the SV or SVSharp installer exe file and extract it if required
• Navigate to the file in a graphical file manager
• Right click the .exe file and navigate to 'Open With Wine Windows Programme Loader'
• 
• You may also try the Bottles flatpak before troubbleshooting if the installation exe is unsuccessful for any reason
• Confirm the install was successfull by navigating to the full version exe folder (You will need the 'show hidden files' option ticked in your file manager
• For a wine obsidian install: `~/.wine/drive c/Program Files/Synthesizer V Studio Pro` and look for 'synthv-studio.exe'
• For a Bottles Sharp install: `~/.var/app/com.usebottles.bottles/data/bottles/bottles/{what you named the bottle}/drive c/Program Files/ Synthesizer V Sharp` and look for 'synthv-sharp.exe'
Download and extract Obsidian
Move the obisdian folder to your SV download folder from above
Copy the .exe & .dll files from the folder you just moved & paste them into the wider SV folder
• Enter `winecfg` into your terminal
• This will open a programme for configuring wine settings
• Copy the relevant settings from the below image

• Open Sharp or Obsidian with wine
• Always open the Obsidian exe and never the SV exe to access SV
• 
• Click around to verify all is working. (Change the 'windows version' setting in winecfg if you are having issues with mouse input.)
• 
• I will be using Teto to demonstrate how to load a voicebank
• In a terminal enter `cd the directory to SV or Sharp`
• cd means change directory, this moves your active terminal session to the select directory. It's usually in your home or ~ directory by deafult
• You can verify you are in the right folder by using `ls` this will show the files that the terminal can see. It should look something like my below input
• 
• In a seperate file manager, navigate to the voice bank's .svpk file and copy the path to the file
• 
• In the terminal type `./synthv-sharp.exe {path to the svpk file}` swap synthv-sharp.exe with obsidian.exe if using obsidian.
• 
• This tells SV to open with the svpk file as an argument
• We do this to negate the inability to drag and drop on wine
• You will eventually be met with this screen
• 
• Click through and load the voicebank
• You should all be good to go now
